I am travelling to Egypt in November and wanted to buy a digital camera that takes really good photos, I dont want to rock up back home and realise my photos are crap! Please HELP!!
A Nikon D40x with an 18-70mm zoom would be a good choice, as a 70-300mm zoom and you've got almost any shooting situation under control.

sony cybershot 3mp approx 3 years old. photos are very dark, I can adjust the window but doesn't make the photos any lighter.
Just buy any DSLR - Sony, Pentax, Olympus, Fuji, Canon or Nikon - and a 50mm f1.4 lens for it and you'll be set for adventures in low-light, non-flash photography.
