Question about the Craps game... What does "whopping house advantage " mean, and how do you calculate it?

It would be great if you could illustrate it by some calculating examples. I'm good at math, and I can figure it out. But I just don't know what this advantage is representing.
The house advantage is the difference between the odds of an event happening and the payout if that event actually occurs. You calculate it by subtracting the odds of it happening

The house always has the advantage of "pass" line bets. Once the "point" is determined, the bettor has the option to "take the odds" of that "point"
